The SAI Poland, which is the current chair of the EUROSAI Working group on Environmental Auditing (EUROSAI WGEA), organised an educational seminar addressing the issue of waste management, held between 26 and 27 April 2021. This year’s spring meeting was conducted as a video conference and was participated by more than 60 auditors from different European Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs), as well as by European and international guests and observers.
The representatives of SAI Slovenia joined the presentations of European experts, namely representatives of the European Commission, academic sphere, local self-government, and were introduced the Programme of Countering Shadow Economy in Poland which is run under the UN Global Compact. They also followed with interest the presentations of implemented audits by different European SAIs in the field of waste management.
