The Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia participated in the annual conference organised by the Centre of Excellence in Finance in cooperation with the British Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy in Zagreb on 10 and 11 June 2025. The conference Trust in public finance: Perceptions vs. Practice was attended by more than 100 experts, policy makers, auditors, academicians and representatives of civil society from 15 countries. It focused on public trust and the importance of public trust in public funds management.
The Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia was invited to cooperate in the panel discussion on providing transparency in the use of the EU funds. Jerneja Vrabič, Supreme State Auditor, and mag. Aljanka Klajnšek, Principal Auditor, actively participated in the discussion. Supreme State Auditor Jerneja Vrabič among other points gave special attention to the findings from the audit of efficiency of managing the implementation of the Slovenian Recovery and Resilience Plan and highlighted best practice of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia in strengthening transparency and responsibility in managing public funds.
The event reaffirms the relevance and topicality of the work of the Court of Audit in the international context and helps to provide and strengthen public trust in its work.
