The Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia cooperated in international peer review team, that conducted fourth peer review of the European Court of Auditors (ECA). This peer review, finalised in 2025, assessed the ECA’s audit of the RRF, the ECA’s digital audit approach and the use of tools, and the ECA’s Relations with the auditees during the performance audit process. The latter being at the focus of the Court of Audit’s review.
The review was carried out by the Swiss Federal Audit Office (coordinator), the Office of the Auditor General of Canada, the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia, and the Swedish National Audit Office. The results of this peer review demonstrate the high standards at the ECA and show certain areas with improvement potential. Sharing experiences during the peer review contributed towards the improving all audit institutions.
