SAI Montenegro and Westminster Foundation for Democracy organised Regional workshop Following up of the implementation of audit recommendations which took place in Podgorica, Montenegro on 10 and 11 March 2022. The workshop was attended among others also by the representatives of SAIs Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Slovenia and it included presentations of the representatives of SAI Belgium and NAO United Kingdom.
Within the regional meeting the SAIs had the opportunity to exchange their experience and best practice in implementing the follow-up processes of audit recommendations. The Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia took part in the workshop by giving the presentation of following up the audit recommendations in Slovenia. The discussion afterwards focused on the importance of following up the recommendations of audits, pointed out the differences between the states and underlined the information technology applied for following up, the role of the Parliament and some challenges in the field.
