From 25 to 27 February 2025 Supreme Audit Institution of Norway organised a training on IT audits: Oracle Database Auditing, which was held in Skopje. Most of modern information systems keeps data in databases whereby Oracle is one of their leading providers on the market, nevertheless the databases can present an attack vector against IT systems. Oracle database auditing tools can be integrated into information security audits in order to efficiently review and verify important IT security areas. Recommendations from such audits have significant impact on improving the safety of auditee's operations, preventing security events and risk management.
Auditor General of SAI North Macedonia mag. Maksim Acevski who hosted the event emphasized that advancement in auditing by using new information and communication tools can only be achieved through mutual learning and the exchange of experiences. The training brought together representatives from SAI North Macedonia, SAI Kosovo and auditors of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia. New competences and skills acquired shall contribute to the even more effective implementation of audit work.
