President of the Court of Audit Jana Ahčin appointed Supreme State Auditor Jerneja Vrabič as the head of the audit department B4. On 5 May 2025, the Supreme State Auditor took an oath before the President of the Court of Audit, thus officially obtaining the mandate of nine years for the performance of her function.
Upon this occasion, the President of the Court of Audit thanked the previous Supreme State Auditor Aleksej Šinigoj, who has been managing the B4 audit department until his formal nomination as Second Deputy President by the National Assembly on 28 March 2025. The Supreme State Auditor Jerneja Vrabič also expressed her gratitude and thanks to all colleagues and co-workers, thereby emphasising the importance of mutual cooperation among audit departments and support provided by each other, which may further increase their efficiency and quality of the implemented audits.
About the Supreme State Auditor:
Jerneja Vrabič graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. She started her professional career at the Tax Administration of the Republic of Slovenia. In 1999, she joined the Court of Audit, where engaged mainly in auditing public utilities and environmental audits. In the period from 2014 to 2016, she was an advisor to Second Deputy President of the Court of Audit. From 2016 to 2022, she served as the Attaché of the Slovenian Member of the European Court of Auditors. On 17 November 2022, she was appointed Supreme State Auditor responsible for the audit department B5.
