Auditor General of the National Audit Office of the Republic of Kosovo, Vlora Spanca, at the invitation of the President of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia, Jana Ahčin, paid an official visit to Ljubljana on 29 April 2025. She was accompanied by Deputy Auditor General, Bezad Halilaj, and SAI Kosovo database administrator, Kaltrina Sylejmani.
The visit of SAI Kosovo delegation was aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two supreme audit institutions (SAI) and at the exchange of professional experience. During bilateral meetings, the representatives of both SAIs focused on how to enhance effects of the audits, they centred on the process of audit planning, exchanged their experience and views regarding IT audit implantation and discussed the importance of drawing up clear and understandable audit reports, they also talked about management. Additionally, Kosovo delegation presented the SITA system – the audit management software that SAI Kosovo developed as a tool to support the implementation of audit processes.
The President of SAI Slovenia, Jana Ahčin, and the Auditor General of SAI Kosovo, Vlora Spanca, expressed their readiness to deepen mutual cooperation in the fields of joint interest and emphasised that knowledge sharing and expert discussions encourage close cooperation in various fields of public auditing and contribute to modernisation of work processes at both SAIs.
