President of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia Jana Ahčin and Secretary of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia Tadeja Pušnar attended the annual meeting of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) of the Visegrad countries, Austria and Slovenia (V4+2 Group) which took place between 15 and 16 May 2025 in Győr and Pannonhalma in Hungary. The meeting was conducted by dr. László Windisch, President of the SAI Hungary.
SAIs of the V4+2 meet every year on high-level to exchange experience and discuss common professional challenges. This year’s two-day meeting focused on a discussion of six different professional topics.
The host of the event was President of the SAI Hungary Lászlo Windisch who was joined by President of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia Jana Ahčin, President of the SAI Czech Republic Miloslav Kala, President of the SAI Poland Marian Banaś, President of the SAI Slovak Republic Ľubomír Andrassy and Director General of the SAI Austria dr. Ronald Roedl with their colleges.
On the first day, the main topics of debates referred to parliamentary relations, audits of the use of EU funds and financial dimensions of the SAI’s independence. Participants actively engaged in the exchange of practices and perspectives from different national points of view.
The second day was dedicated to the review of the entire audit processes – from selecting the audit topic to the drafting of the report which was presented by the President of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia Jana Ahčin. The participants also discussed the impacts and outcomes of the activities of the SAIs and exchanged experiences on gathering and analysing audit data. SAI Hungary and SAI Slovak Republic presented new models of organisational solutions that were introduced in their business operations.
At the conclusion of that meeting, President of the SAI Hungary dr. László Windisch symbolically handed over the role of the host country of the V4+2 meeting to the President of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia Jana Ahčin who shall host the next V4+2 meeting in Slovenia in 2026.
