Prior to the Contact Committee meeting of the Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of candidate countries and potential candidate countries of the EU and the European Court of Auditors (ECA), a working meeting of the Liaison Officers for International Affairs took place on 31 March 2022.
The purpose of the annual meeting, in which also the Slovenian Court of Audit takes part, is to make preparations for the sessions of the Contact Committee attended by the Presidents of SAIs within the framework of the European Union. This year's online meeting was headed by the representatives of the SAI Germany and was aimed at the preparation and harmonisation of the materials for the upcoming Contact Committee session. Among others, they discussed the implemented and planned activities of working groups, as well as challenges and initiatives of international organisations of audit institutions. This year, the Contact Committee meeting will be hosted by the ECA in Luxembourg at the beginning of May.
