Presenting Annual Report 2021 of the Court of Audit to the National Council

Second Deputy President of the Court of Audit mag. Mojca Planinšek presented the Annual Report 2021 of the Court of Audit at the National Council on 7 June 2022. The Commission for Economy, Crafts, Tourism and Finance took note of the Annual Report of the Court of Audit for 2021 at its 57th regular session where Mrs Planinšek presented key findings from the report and activities as well as dynamics of implemented audits of the Court of Audit in the year 2021 in which the Court of Audit issued 60 audit reports, 15 post-audit reports and 1 joint audit report.

Second Deputy President of the Court of Audit also answered the questions referring to certain major and burning issues covered by the audits from the fields of healthcare system and state assets. Moreover, discussions touched upon proposed amendments to the Court of Audit Act. The President of the Commission believes that now is appropriate time for its amendments, considering the period elapsed from the date of adoption of the existing Court of Audit Act. She also assured to the Court of Audit the necessary support of the National Council. The proposed amendments to the Court of Audit Act could bring about improved access to required data and information, as well as broadening the scope of entities to be subject to audit of the Court of Audit.
