On 13 June 2022, the President of the Court of Audit, Tomaž Vesel, was accepted by the President of the National Assembly, Urška Klakočar Zupančič. At the end of his 9-year term as the head of the Slovenian supreme audit institution, Mr Vesel presented Mrs Klakočar Zupančič with a copy of the Annual Report of the Court of Audit for 2021.
During the meeting, the President of the Court of Audit emphasised that consideration of the issues which are subject to audit in the National Assembly represents a crucial channel of raising public awareness of the use of public funds, while the President of the National Assembly pointed out the importance of close and transparent cooperation between the two institutions.
