State Audit Institution of the Republic of Montenegro, Stability Pact Anti-Corruption Initiative (SPAI) and Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) held the first International Conference of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) of Central and Southeastern Europe in Podgorica, Montenegro. The emphasis of the conference was the role of SAI in preventing corruption. President of the Slovenian Court of Audit Igor Šoltes held the keynote speech about the experience and best practices of Slovenia´s SAI. Other topics related to the cooperation of SAIs with government institutions in fighting corruption and designing preventive measures, corruption prevention in public procurement proceedings and the experience of other national SAIs.
