Prior to the Contact Committee meeting of the Heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the EU member states and of the European Court of Auditors (ECA), a working meeting of the Liaison Officers for International Affairs took place on 28 April 2023.
The online meeting was headed by Emma Johannesson, Liaison Officer for International Affairs at the SAI Sweden. On behalf of the SAI Slovenia, Boštjan Novak, Advisor in the Cabinet of the President and Liaison Officer, participated in the meeting.
Liaison Officers reviewed and harmonised the materials for the upcoming Contact Committee session. The Contact Committee is an autonomous, independent and non-political assembly of the Heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the EU member states and of the European Court of Auditors. This year, it will be hosted by the SAI Portugal in June and will be attended also by Jana Ahčin, President of the Court of Audit. Among the items on the agenda of the working meeting were activities of working groups and challenges of international organisations of audit institutions, as well as future events.
