During its presidency to EU Council, the SAI Belgium organised a High-level Conference titled "Resilient SAIs for Resilient Societies" on 18 June 2024 in Brussels. The Conference was participated by delegations from 25 European supreme audit institutions and from Ukraine, the European Court of Auditors (ECA), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and International Board of Auditors for NATO. On behalf of SAI Slovenia, the President Jana Ahčin and Supreme State Auditor Jerneja Vrabič attended the event.
The Conference addressed several aspects of how SAIs may respond to and contribute to adapting to future challenges, such as climate change, digitalisation, unforeseen impact on public finance and other influences on the independence of SAIs.
