European Court of Auditors organised a training in order to exchange best practices of data visualisation in the audit reports. The Court of Audit was among three audit institutions asked to present its experience in the field.
In addition to SAI Netherlands and SAI Latvia, the representatives of the Court of Audit explained our communication policy, methods of work and designer approaches. Namely, examples of infographics, video presentations and other planned projects were spotlighted.
The introductory speech held by a special guest Alan Smith, Data Visualisation Editor at the Financial Times, who received several awards for excellence in national statistics, was followed by workshops where the Court of Audit presented its own activities that triggered the interest of the participants.
Representatives of the Court of Audit answered to many questions posed by members of other SAIs, the ECA and other guests about workflow, cooperation between auditors, designers and management, and about graphics and visualisations that rank our Court among the leading SAIs.
