President of the Slovenian Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) Jana Ahčin accepted the invitation of Ľubomír Andrassy, President of the SAI Slovak Republic, and attended a formal ceremony in Bratislava to celebrate 30 years of Slovak independence and at the same time the 30th anniversary of the Slovak Supreme Audit Office establishment.
Part of the event was also the national conference on auditing for better governance and more efficient management of public matters which was organised under the auspices of the President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Čaputová, who held the opening speech along with other guest speakers, namely Miloslav Kala, President of SAI Czech Republic, and Ľubomír Andrassy, President of SAI Slovak Republic. The conference included also two round-table discussions addressing the importance and benefits of SAI Slovak Republic for the citizens and the society in general, as well as auditing as a pathway to responsibility, transparency and integrity of public sector entities.
On this occasion, the President of the SAI Slovenia and her First Deputy President mag. Maja Bilbija met and exchanged their views and experience with the Presidents of SAI Hungary and SAI Poland, and the representatives of SAI Austria and INTOSAI.
