Between 5 and 6 March 2024, the President of the Court of Audit Jana Ahčin paid a working visit at the SAI North Macedonia in Skopje where she met Auditor General of the SAI North Macedonia mag. Maksim Acevski and Deputy Auditor General mag. Orhan Ademi. The delegation of the Court of Audit included First Deputy President mag. Maja Bilbija and Advisor to First Deputy President mag. Peter Premrl.
The representatives of both SAIs discussed several common topics and fields of joint interest to exchange experience and positive practices, especially related to detecting risks, which show signs of offences, corruption or breach of integrity. They also touched upon cooperation with authorised institutions, communication with stakeholders and carrying out audits of the EU funds.

Reception of the President of the Court of Audit Jana Ahčin and the SAI delegations by the Vice-President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia Goran Misovski
Within the framework of the visit in Skopje, the heads and delegations of both SAIs were received by the Vice-President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia Goran Misovski. During the meeting, they highlighted the importance of the role of the SAIs that provide for transparent and efficient use of public funds as well as the importance of SAI's financial independence.
The Auditor General mag. Maksim Acevski and the President Jana Ahčin expressed satisfaction with successful cooperation between the two institutions building on the recently signed memorandum on cooperation, at the same time they stressed the expectations to continue with strengthening communication and cooperation.
