Upon the invitation of the President of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Igor Šoltes, a four-member delegation of the Supreme Audit Institution of Albania arrived on an official visit. The delegation of Dr Bujar Leskaj, the President of the SAI Albania, Mr Robert Gjini, director general, Mr Fatos Cocoli, development and internal audit director, and Mr Athanas Karaja, foreign investments audit director, was welcomed by the President of the Court of Audit, Dr Igor Šoltes. Afterwards the discussions were held by Mr Zoran Mladenovič, second deputy president, and Dr Miroslav Kranjc, supreme state auditor.

The participants dedicated special attention to the legal basis for operations of the Court of Audit, organisation of the departments, the manner of implementing the performance and regularity audits, cooperation with the Parliament and the Commission for Public Finance Control and the Strategy of the Court of Audit till 2013.
Mr Zoran Mladenovič presented the procedure that follows the publication of an audit report when the demand to present a response report is issued.

Dr Kranjc pointed out that currently the audit department is implementing 14 audits and that in 2011 it issued 21 audit reports where at least one audit objective was to review performance. He presented work of the audit department, objectives of the Strategy 2007-2013, development of the annual work programme, audit implementation procedures and spoke about the IT audits.

Delegation Members with Deputy President Mladenovič
The participants addressed issues related to audit findings of already completed audits, for example the performance audit of allocating exceptional pensions, natural disaster assistance, elderly care services and prescribing medicines in the Republic of Slovenia.
Later, the representatives were received by the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Sandër Kovaçi.
On Wednesday, 25 April the official visit is continued by discussing the audits of the EU funds that was held by Dr Tina Eržen, supreme state auditor.
Presidents Dr Šoltes and Dr Leskaj will sign the Cooperation Agreement at the end of the official visit with the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Sandër Kovaçi attending the ceremony.
