Between 4 and 7 November 2019, YES – Young EUROSAI Conference 2019 took place at the UK National Audit Office in London. The main topic of the Conference was how the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) should maintain their role and recognition in this era of increasingly rapid changes and ever growing importance of digitalisation. The emphasis was on the exchange of experience of the European SAIs and networking of young auditors. The attendees including participating experts focused mostly on challenges the SAIs are faced with or will be encountered with in the near future and on the ways the SAIs respond to respectively address those challenges.
Two auditors from the SAI Slovenia participated at the Conference and together with their German colleagues held the workshop titled Better content together with better communication and Taking on the challenge of changing information habits. Our auditors presented a fresh approach of the SAI Slovenia to defining and selecting topics relevant from the sustainable point of view, as well as future audits pertaining to the common field of information technology. Addressed were also current communication forms and channels the Court of Audit uses for the purpose of public relations.
