Appointment of two new Supreme State Auditors

The President of the Court of Audit, Tomaž Vesel, appointed two new Supreme State Auditors, namely mag. Katja Božič to the post of Supreme State Auditor responsible for the audit department undertaking audits of government budget users and political parties, and mag. Nataša Karlić Kovačič to the post of Supreme State Auditor responsible for the audit department undertaking audits of non-government budget users, judicial authorities, public agencies and public funds, and non-governmental organisations.

On 1 December 2020, the newly appointed Supreme State Auditors were sworn in before the President of the Court of Audit, thus officially obtaining the mandate of nine years for the performance of their function.

About the Supreme State Auditors:

Mag. Katja Božič holds Master of Sciences in management and organisation from the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. Started a professional career at the Bank of Slovenia. Experience gained working for Poteza Stock Broking Company, Bank Austria Creditanstalt, Ministry of Finance, Gorenjska Banka and as financial advisor. In 2019, joined the Court of Audit as advisor to the President.

Mag. Nataša Karlić Kovačič graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana and obtained masters degree at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Maribor – field of accounting and audit. Started a professional career at the Court of Audit in 1998 engaging in the area of state budget and counselling. Since June 2013, holding the position of advisor to First Deputy President.
