On 9 July 2026, the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia hosted a delegation of representatives of the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) of India, consisting of Deepak Raghu, Director at the Office of the Director General of Audit, London, and Sachin Kumar, Assistant Audit Officer. On behalf of the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia, Luka Ramovš, Supreme State Auditor, dr. Tomaž Kralj, Advisor to the President of the Court of Audit, and Klara Jereb, Liaison Officer for International Affairs, participated in the meeting.
The representatives of the Court of Audit presented to their Indian colleagues the organisation and operations of SAI Slovenia, its international cooperation within INTOSAI, EUROSAI, EURORAI and other international networks of supreme audit institutions.
Additionally, they shared their experience in the field of environmental, local self-government and IT audits. Furthermore, special attention was paid to the use of artificial intelligence and data analytics in audit procedures, as well as to digital transformation of supreme audit institutions.
However, the delegation of SAI India outlined its activities carried out in the field of artificial intelligence, data analytics and developing specialised centres of excellence for training of auditors, and it also introduced international education centres for IT auditing, presented its environmental and local self-government audits, as well as possibilities for including experts from other supreme audit institutions into its education and training programmes.
Additionally, the participants of the meeting discussed the possibilities for further cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, data analytics, local self-government and environmental audits. They also touched upon the importance of enhancing professional capacities and, in this regard, expressed interest in future exchange of best practice, professional knowledge and experience.
The meeting was held in a constructive and professional atmosphere which is a good basis to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between SAI Slovenia and SAI India.
