The Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia hosted the representatives of the National Audit Office Malta (NAO Malta) between 14 and 16 May 2019. Within the framework of the agreed upon and successfully implemented secondment between the two supreme audit institutions in 2018, the representatives of NAO Malta this year got detailed insight into the structure and work of our institution, while relevant experience were exchanged and addressed several questions posed when planning, preparing and publishing audit reports. Again, the presentations and discussions carried out in individual cabinets and departments pointed out that both SAI Malta and SAI Slovenia face similar challenges in the course of their work. Practical cooperation between both institutions is extremely valuable due to relevant exchange of experience and best practice, especially in the light of several similarities and common values we hold.
