Continuing successful secondment: visit by the representative of the SAI Finland

The Court of Audit is becoming increasingly engaged in bilateral relations with Supreme Audit Institutions by exchanging opinions, experience and employees and particularly by implementing joint audits and cooperating in organisation of international events. In October 2019, Slovenian representative visited SAI Finland within the framework of expert secondment, between 2 and 6 December 2019 SAI Slovenia hosted Finnish representative as continued successful cooperation.

Performance audit counsellor of SAI Finland, Visa Paajanen was presented up-to-date audit practices and processes as well as challenges met by the Court of Audit. The experts made presentations and had several debates that resulted in the exchange of experience and knowledge. At the end of the week the advisor from SAI Finland presented to Slovenian auditors his conclusions and also proposals for further work and possible ways of addressing challenges our institution is faced with during the audit planning and implementation. Those proposals were based on information about our processes he gathered during his stay.
